South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy has been one of the most devoted people working in Washington as he works on the Permanent Select Intelligence Committee, as well as serving on other groups like the House Ethics Committee.
Recently Gowdy was selected as one of the three people who will be leading the House’s investigation into the alleged Russian meddling in U.S. affairs. It seems that Gowdy was completely preoccupied with activities which are why it came as a surprise this week when the Congressman declared he will be heading the legal proceedings against another kind of a criminal.
According to some reports, President Trump plans to allow the federal government to use everything in its power to fight the highest level of pedophile networks. Trey Gowdy has already said that he is completely dedicated to this endeavor.
“More than anything else we’re united in our inability to get the images out of our heads,” said the South Carolina representative, explaining what he will do to those who object to his participation in solving this issue.
“This is what I want you to do for me: I want you to give me a list of the providers that are giving you a hard time,” argued Gowdy. “We may have another hearing. We may let them come and publicly explain why they are having a hard time complying with law enforcement in the child exploitation and the child abuse cases.
My guess is that would be a very tough public explanation for them so give me the names of the name of the providers that you’re having a hard time dealing with and, I may not make them do it, but I can make them come and explain why they’re doing it and my guess is they won’t want to do that.”
“Enforcing the rule of law and protecting human dignity through a fair justice system are among the chief responsibilities of Congress. Victims of child pornography endure severe trauma mentally, physically and emotionally,” said Gowdy.
