It’s not a surprise that President Donald Trump is not pleased with the way current White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has been handling his important job. While Spicer has earned grudging respect for the way he has patiently endured the assault of the vicious liberal-biased press, it is clear that he is not up to the task of reigning them in.
While some have also praised Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders for her charm and candor, it appears that President Trump does not feel that she should be promoted to Press Secretary in Spicer’s place. According to two different news agencies, Trump is primed to pick a brand new person to take over the job, and it’s one of the most beloved personalities on Fox News.
Fox News’ Kimberly Guilfoyle is no stranger to tangling with extreme liberals, as she was once married to far-left former San Francisco Mayor and current California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom. The New York Times gave strong indication that she is a favorite to take over for Spicer.
A report in the Times mentioned that Trump “has spent several hours with Mr. Spicer this week, praising his television ‘ratings’ during the briefings” but also noted that “Mr. Trump has raised the Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle to allies as a possible press secretary.”
Mediaite also stated that Guilfoyle is strongly in the running, writing, “Fox News’ Kimberly Guilfoyle has been making a push for the White House press secretary role. Per the report, Republican National Committee spokesperson Sean Spicer is still seen as the favorite for the position. But the team is looking at offering Guilfoyle an ‘ancillary role,’ and that there is consideration of perhaps having Spicer and the Fox host split the position.” Do you think Trump should fire Sean Spicer and hire Kimberly Guilfoyle?
